On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Kathy Caraway took part in a great American tradition and crowned their first ever spelling bee champion. 26 classroom representatives from all classrooms in grades 2-5 took part in the traditional spelldown; that is, each of the 26 spellers received one word per round until all but one was left standing.
We were so proud of all of our students, but special congratulations goes out to Hari Valluri for the win! Your dedication to learning correct spelling helped you not only in this competition, but will throughout your life. Good luck at regionals and we look forward to all the great thing your future brings.
