Caraway second grade students recently raised $1,440. through a slime fundraising project. After students spent time studying domestic animals and their traits, they visited a non-profit dog and cat rescue in Leander called Texas Humane Heroes. The students and teachers donated all their funds to help them continue rescuing and protecting dogs and cats. The students knew they made a huge difference when they were able to visit the dogs and cats that soon will be ready for adoption. The students are real Humane Heroes!

Find out more about Texas Humane Heroes by visiting their website. They welcome donations, volunteers, or you may even want to adopt a dog or cat!
